Accommodation in Wellington
We are currently organising places to stay for people who are coming from out of town to the protests at Te Papa in October. If you
need a place to stay do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Also, if you have a spare
bed in Wellington to accommodate people please let us know.

Legal Situation
20 people were arrested last year and noone had any convictions. 13 people were given 'Breach of the peace' which meant that they
didn't even have a court appearance. Charges were dropped against other activists. However, everyone was served with a tresspass notice
which is valid for 2 years. Unfortunately we were not able to test these tresspass notices in court to see if they are legal (Te Papa is
a public place!) because the police dropped the charges. We recommend that you read up on rights with police before going on a demo
(for example 'The Bush Lawyer's Handbook'). We have contacts with good lawyers and legal observers.
